Terms of use
Last updated October 15, 2026
These terms cover yourownstack.com, including the app at /app/ and Stack Planner (together, "Your Own Stack"), run by Wiggins Digital Holdings LLC. By using it you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains what happens to your data.
What Your Own Stack is
Your Own Stack is a chat app that runs in your browser and connects to AI providers using API keys you supply. Stack Planner is a quiz that suggests models for your needs. Both are early versions and may change.
Your API keys and provider costs
You get your own API keys from each provider and agree to that provider's terms. Providers bill you directly for what you use. Cost estimates in the app and Stack Planner are estimates; you're responsible for your actual spending, so check each provider's prices and set limits with them.
AI output
Answers come from third-party AI models and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check anything important before you rely on it. You're responsible for how you use what the models produce.
Acceptable use
Don't use Your Own Stack to break the law, to break any provider's usage policies, or to interfere with the site or other people's use of it.
Accounts and Google Drive
Accounts are optional. If you make one, keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for activity on it. Connecting Google Drive is optional, and you can disconnect at any time. Backups in your Drive belong to you, and you're responsible for keeping your backup password safe: we can't recover it.
Paid features
Some features may need a one-time purchase. The price and what it includes are shown before you pay.
Your data
Your chats, settings and keys are stored on your device, and you can delete them at any time. Keep your own backups; we can't restore data that's only on your device.
No warranty
Your Own Stack is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise it will always be available, error-free or suited to a particular purpose.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or provider charges, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when. You can stop using Your Own Stack at any time. We may suspend access to accounts that break these terms.
